Facilitating Retreats: Illuminating Inner Brilliance

Facilitating retreats is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work, bringing out an inner brightness that feels both transformative and deeply meaningful. This year’s retreat, Autumn's Inner Brilliance: Moving Through the Layers, was no exception. The journey we embarked on together was one of discovery, healing, and connection.

The focus of this retreat was on exploring the Koshas—the five layers or "sheaths" that surround and define our being. We began by dipping our toes into this profound work through the physical body, the Annamaya Kosha, which serves as the gateway to deeper layers of self. By engaging the senses and becoming fully present, we opened the door to the other koshas, each revealing more of our inherent wisdom and light.

It was awe-inspiring to witness the courageous, warrior-like women who attended, stepping into their deep resolve and intention to explore this inner work. Together, we played, moved, and uncovered the profound connections that bind us to ourselves, to each other, and to the natural world around us. The serenity of nature, the power of presence, and the simple act of slowing down to feel and appreciate the senses created a shared sense of joy and awakening.

The beauty of the retreat was not just in the inner work we did, but in the bonds we formed. Moments of women gathered in a circle, the peaceful reflection by the pond, the nourishing meals, and the sacred outdoor spaces where we found stillness—all of it contributed to the sacredness of the experience. The gestures of kindness and support among the women were truly moving, creating a space where healing and transformation could unfold naturally.
